June 18. 2004 The Yoni Lingam for the turtle arrived today just 3 days before the solstice. Here are some of the stonemasons hard at work cutting the Yoni . And here are the efficient ones working in tight formation in a very cramped space.
When the carving was finally finished the really hard work began. Lowering the Yoni in place. First we pushed it in onto a pair of sturdy beams. Then we secured it to the top of the structure with climbing equipment.After lowering we had to make fine adjustements wich meant some really heavy work for some tired backs.
Finally after everything is in the right place comes the time for the placing of the Lingam. Although this Lingam is not completely correct and has to be replaced.
