The pyramid is meant to encapsulate the energies of different pyramids from all over the world, and from the different ages. The outer walls and angles are based on a local pyramid here in Indonesia Candi Cetto located up on the slopes of mount Lawu.
The inner chamber is designed so the floor is excactly 108 square feet. There is a replica of the stone coffer from the kings chamber in the great pyramid sunken into the floor .
On top of the pyramid is our observation point to look at Argo on the december solstice. We will see it reflected on the ground in the starpoints that are laid out inside the ellipse.
The angle and bottom length of the outside walls are determined by a geometric progression so a/b=b/c=c/d.
We started building the pyramid on june 28 2004. This is where we make stands to put up measuring lines.
Next up we dig and place the foundation for the pillars
here is a wide angle shot to show the relationship between the pyramid and the rest of the land.
The foundation for the walls and the pillars are in place.
and now the walls are going up .
After two days off for election, the Coffer has been made. When its finished with stone cladding it will measure almost exactly the same as the coffer in the kings chamber in the pyramid of Khufu.
Days end of july 8. Walls are coming up all round.
Fitting iron to the top of the wall
Making the form for the roof. The bamboo poles hold it all up while the cement hardens.
Cementing the roof , we worked hard for a day to get the cementing done in one go.(Thanks to my friend B.S.N for helping with the calculations of the steel and the concrete thickness.)
This is the foundation for the outside walls . We had to use stone here as well because of the waterlevel during the rainy season.
We fill the space between the inner and outer wall with a claylike soil.
We keep filling up the outside wall.
We use re-bar to anchor the inner wall to the outer wall, in order to prevent bulging of both the walls.( thanks to my friend B.S.N for reminding me ...)
The anchor on the inside wall. This will be cemented to the wall.
This is the view from the top of the pyramid, as you can see the Turtle in the center is coming along and the Hall in the background is finished.
